Chinese tests paths for cellphones

A Chinese city 'Chongqing' has created a pathway on one of its busiest streets into two lanes.
One for cellphone users and the other for those who don't have a phone

The pathway is in the city of Chongqing in southwestern China It is 15 meters long and 3 meters wide and it has warning signs painted on the ground

Long Cheng, a spokesperson for the developer that came up with the idea, said that the sidewalk lanes reminded tourists not to walk while playing with their cellphones.

The road, known as "yangrenjie" or foreigners street, is a popular tourist attraction in the city because of its faux Western architecture and an amusement park.

Long said the developers were inspired by a recent experiment in Washington DC and there were no plans yet to roll out the concept elsewhere in the city. Not all pedestrians were sold on the idea, however.

It is estimated that the number of smartphone users in China will exceed 500 million by the end of this year!

Chinese Moblie Cell Phones, Part 1

There are loads of new Cell phones coming out of China and at great prices, or as a German might say 'a Handy'. I for one Love that terminology because lets be honest, they are very handy to have. Any way I wanted to tell you about the phone I purchased for my wife, the Doogee dagger dg550.
Its a massive 5'5 inch phone and a great improvement of her old Sony Xperia Tipo, which was an OK low end phone, just a bit on the small size.

She really likes the phone even though I thought it might be a bit to big for her, but that's not the case and she uses even uses it watching TV in the kitchen, not just facebook or even calling friends and family :)

Here are the Basic Specifications of the DG550:

• Display 5.5-inch IPS OGS 720p HD (1280 x 720)
• Processor 1.7GHz MTK6592 Octa Core
• RAM 1GB Storage 16GB,
• microSD card slot, up to 32GB (I heard that 64 GB works too)
• Camera 13 Megapixel Rear Camera and 3 Megapixel Front-Facing Camera
• Battery 2600 mAh
• Connectivity GPS, microUSB 2.0, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth Networks 3G/WCDMA: 850/2100 MHz Software Android 4.2 with Google Play
• Dimensions 153 x 76 x 9 mm 180 grams
• Colors Black or White
• SIM slots 1x Normal SIM, 1x Micro SIM

For the price of around 150 Euros it an absolute bargain
The only down side, it took 3 weeks to arrive after order because I ordered it from Amazon, you could of course order via Coolicool

Nokia 6500 Slide Mobile Phone

A camera which also has a phone incorporated in it! Yes that’s Nokia 6500 Slide for you. Experience great pictures taken from this phone and let everybody else envy you. This phone delivers great pictures and videos too.

Key Features

Nokia 6500 Slide comes with microSD (TransFlash) memory up to 8 GB, with 20 MB of user free internal memory for applications. The phonebook can store up to 2000 entries. The buttons on the keypad are very efficient and they do not need to be pressed very hard.
The battery life of Nokia 6500 Slide is very good. The talk time available on the phone is approximately 6 hours with the standby time of 13.25 days. The battery that supports this phone is Standard Li-Ion 900 mAh battery.

Entertainment Features

Nokia 6500 Slide is equipped with a 3.2 megapixels camera with 8 x zoom option. It also has an inbuilt flash and video feature. The photographs taken from the cell are really good and even the video is very clear. The credit for this high quality images and videos goes to the Carl Zeiss lens. The camera takes good pictures and its auto focus works well but you’ll need to get used to it. At the beginning it will make you feel odd but after some practice you will get used to it. The whole set also consists of a PictBridge feature which helps you to print your pictures directly from the phone.
The phone comes with a 4 GB miniSD memory card, which makes it an excellent choice for all music lovers. The MP3 player also works without the headphones as the phone also has an inbuilt speaker which is quite loud. The music sounds even better when it is played on the stereo speakers which are better than other single speaker phones. It has a fairly good volume with variable equalizer options. The 4 GB memory card is enough for around 30 hours of non-stop music. But this is applicable only then when you are not using the phone to make or receive calls. The Bluetooth also has a good speed but it goes slow when transferring bigger files.

Design

The Nokia 6500 Slide comes with more than 16 million colors which give the user complete choice as to which color to use in the display. The dimensions of the phone are 96.5 x 46.5 x 16.4 mm and the weight of the phone is 125 grams, which does not put it into the sleek category. Even the GPRS is slow. The screen is large but the keys are a bit small as compared to other popular mobiles.

Conclusion

All said and done nokia 6500 slide is a good phone to possess which will allow you to capture any memorable moment of your life without being ready for it with a camera.

Lithium

Lithium (pronounced lɪe-thi-um) is a chemical element with the symbol Li and atomic number 3. It is a soft alkali metal with a silver-white color. Under standard conditions, it is the lightest metal and the least dense solid element. Like all alkali metals, lithium is highly reactive, corroding quickly in moist air to form a black tarnish. For this reason, lithium metal is typically stored under the cover of oil.

According to theory, lithium (mostly 7Li) was one of the few elements synthesized in the Big Bang, although its quantity has vastly decreased. The reasons for its disappearance and the processes by which new lithium is created continue to be important matters of study in astronomy. Lithium is the 33rd most abundant element on Earth, but due to its high reactivity only appears naturally in the form of compounds. Lithium occurs in a number of pegmatitic minerals, but is also commonly obtained from brines and clays; on a commercial scale, lithium metal is isolated electrolytically from a mixture of lithium chloride and potassium chloride.

Trace amounts of lithium are present in the oceans and in some organisms, though the element serves no apparent biological function in humans. Nevertheless, the neurological effect of the lithium ion Li+ makes some lithium salts useful as a class of mood stabilizing drugs. Lithium and its compounds have several other commercial applications, including heat-resistant glass and ceramics, high strength-to-weight alloys used in aircraft, and lithium batteries. Lithium also has important links to nuclear physics: the splitting of lithium atoms was the first man-made form of a nuclear reaction, and lithium deuteride serves as the fusion fuel in staged thermonuclear weapons.

Cheap Mobile Phones

Acquiring a cheap mobile phone is every one's wish but only the smart ones manage to grab one. You need to be on the look out for one before you actually buy it. When it comes to buying mobile phones users have two options: either to buy a brand new one from the grey market or buy a used mobile phone from a reseller. Quite often users prefer the first option as a first hand piece has a certain novelty to it, which a used piece does not. The grey market manages to ship in knock off pieces of original phones and sell them in the grey market at throwaway prices. Inspite of selling these phones at a deep discount sellers still manage to make a small profit out of such sales .However users should not expect warranty and after sales service for these phones as these phones are being sold at heavily discount prices. The axiom 'You gain some. You lose some' holds true in such circumstances. Buying mobile phones from online resellers is also an interesting option, which users have. However, the prices of these mobile phones will be slightly higher than the smuggled pieces mentioned before. Online stores do provide a replacement warranty for their customers and it comes at a price. However, the online option is still a better method as compared to the grey market one. Buying used or second-hand phones from a reseller is a good option when you are purchasing feature rich high-end phones. These high-end phones come with multiple functionalities and require a little bit of after sales service like anti –virus installation etc. Resellers in order to boost their brand equity often provide good after sales service for these phones. At choosecellphones you can get array range of cell phones like: Samsung cell phone, LG cell phones, Motorola cell phones, Nokia cell phones. Beside of this we are offering
Cheapest cell phone, cheap cell phone plans, discount cell phones, Cheap wireless phones, unlocked cell phones, refurbished cell phones, gsm cell phones, used cell phone, free cell phones.
